Distribution List Manager

DLM allows administrators to associate a rule to a distribution list. This rule can be based on nearly any property in the Exchange directory. The rule can compare the values between two fields, look for fields with specific values or fields that simply contain some value. In addition, DLM fully supports logic operators such as AND and OR for combining multiple rules.

DLM then uses Microsoft's Messaging API (MAPI) to search the directory properties of each recipient in the Global Address List (GAL) for any recipients that match the distribution lists' associated rule(s). DLM then adds these users into the distribution list via Microsoft's Directory API (DAPI). The result is fast, efficient and reliable updates to distribution lists.
