Aileron is a wireless client for Microsoft Exchange, designed to operate on Motorola's PageWriter 2000 device utilizing the two-way Advanced Messaging Service.
The product offers Microsoft Outlook functionality such as e-mail, calendar, tasks, contacts and notes through a graphical user interface.
Additionally, users can transmit fax and Telex messages using Exchange Server-based third-party software without a dial-up connection to the office network or Internet, and employees are relieved of the need to synchronize with the home office Exchange Server.
Aileron is based on multi-tiered client-server architecture intefacing with Microsoft Exchange Server via SMTP messages over the wireless advanced messaging network.
