How to create a "Newsroom" page

This blog post describes the steps to create a dedicated "Newsroom" page using the "News Rollup" web part and optionally the new "Page Header" solution:

1. create a new page and then add the News Rollup web part to the page.
   Make sure to use version 1.2.56 or higher.
2. configure the web part as follows:
   • Max. nbr of words displayed: 12
   • Detail Link Text: leave empty
   • Image Width: 175
   • News Layout: Newsroom
3. optionally install the Page Header Solution and configure the page header as needed

And thre are some problems for me: 1- The height of each item is not enough for showing the pictures and items. It usually cutted the head of the picture or ignores the footer. So, Is it possible to increase the height of the items? 2- It organizes the items from left of the page to the right. But our native language is from right to the left. How can I change this configuration to the "right to left" alignment ? 3- Why does it shows the "publication date" tow times?
