The Peralta Community College District is moving forward with its long-range project to develop a web site that serves both its diverse community and each of its unique campuses.

In a region known for its technology and innovation, the demand on the district and its resources is great -- to remain responsive to its large student body and absolutely current in its services. With the new web site, visitors will have richer and more intuitive access to the various offices, individuals, programs, courses, events and resources of the College of Alameda, Laney College, Merritt College, and Vista Community College.

The Campus Platform has been selected to implement the vision of the district and its colleges by providing a platform that is capable, flexible and easy to use, three key features for a district of this size. As Jeffrey Heyman, Executive Director of Marketing, Public Relations and Communications with Peralta observes, �This is an ambitious project. The web site involves a multi-college district that, on one hand, is branding a district identity -- since many of our students attend more than one of our colleges. Still, each is unique, so while we are bringing the campuses together with the site, we do not want to lose the individual identity of each of our colleges.�
